Hakone Shrine

Founded in 757.

Since ancient times, faith in Mt. Hakone has been deep, and the shrine was worshipped by the samurai of the Kamakura period (1185-1333).

The contrast between the red torii gate on the shore of Lake Ashi and Mt.Fuji is very beautiful and iconic view of Lake Ashi.

We took photos at the Torii gate at the lake side.

It’s always busy but it’s empty this day because it’s 6:30 in the morning!

Oshinohakkai UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

This village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There are 8 clear ponds with a snow water from Mt.Fuji.

Momiji ( Japanese maple) festival in lake Kawaguchiko

We enjoyed beautiful autumn leaves at lake Kawaguchiko.

The red leaves are very beautiful!

We took photos with red leaves!

Kubota-Icchiku Kimono museum

We explored the nearby Kimono Museum with beautiful Japanese garden.

Also we could buy Japanese art shopping bag in the shop!

Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchiko

This is a place where you can take pictures of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt.Fuji.

There are shops and you can buy fruits, ice cream and drinks.

Lunch

We ate lunch at the local restaurant!

Yummy!

Shiraito waterfall

It’s 20m tall and 150m wide waterfall from Mt.Fuji.

There is no river up there, water is gashing out between the lava rocks.

Fujinomiya sengen shrine

It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The history is said it’s founded 2th century, the deity is Mt.Fuji.

This is the main shrine of Mt.Fuji shrines all over Japan!

If you climb Mt.Fuji, there is a shrine as well.

It’s a deep main place of this shrine.
