A thatched-roof inn where history and architectural beauty live on

Shirabu Onsen boasts over 700 years of history since its discovery, still retaining the atmosphere of a traditional hot spring retreat
The symbol of Nishiya Ryokan is its main building, a thatched-roof hip-and-gable structure dating back approximately 200 years to the Edo period.
Other buildings also feature traditional Japanese wooden architecture, creating an atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time.
Surrounded by Tasteful Wooden Interiors

The main building’s double-height lobby features a traditional hearth (irori).
Polished pillars and handrails reveal the rich surface of wood refined over time.
A famous cat always sleeps at the reception desk.
Yutaki ( waterfall)Hot Spring

The baths feature stone tubs dating back to the 1700s, creating an overwhelmingly dignified atmosphere.
The cascading waterfall bath continuously flows with fresh hot spring water, soothing both body and soul.
Japan’s Finest Sukiyaki( beef meal)

The signature dish is sukiyaki made with local Yonezawa beef.
Yonezawa beef refers to female cattle fattened for 36 months, renowned for its exceptionally tender texture.
Shirabu Water Falls

Shirabu Water Falls lies just a 5-minute walk away from Nishiya.
Named for its wide, 30-meter cascade resembling a white cloth, it’s perfect for a morning stroll from the Nishiya.
You can walk right up to the base of the falls.
