Nara
Nara City was the first permanent capital in Japan in 710.
Until then, the capital was newly established each time the emperor was replaced.
Todaiji Temple
A temple of the Kegon sect, founded in 728.
The Great Buddha was built in 752.
Although the present structure is said to be 5/8 the size of the original, it is still the largest wooden structure in the world at 46.4 meters high.
Great Buddha
The Great Buddha was built in 752.
It is the world’s largest bronze statue 15m tall.
There is a hole of the pillar of the hall, the same size as Buddha’s nostril!
If you go through, you can get luck!
It attracts tourists from all over the world.
Deer
There are 1200 roaming deer here in Nara Park.
They are said as a servant to God of Kasuga shrine nearby!
Lunch
We had a set meal at a Nara hotel restaurant.
Delicious!
Ukimido pagoda
This is a hexagon building which is floating on the Sagiike pond of Nara Park.
The reflection of the pond is very beautiful!
Pontocho( narrow restaurant street in Kyoto)
We visited Pontocho street in Kyoto.
It’s started 1712 to invite the travelers pass by this area.
This place is also said to be the birth place of Kabuki( Japanese traditional drama).
There is a training center of Geisha too!
If you’re lucky, you might see Maiko ( apprentice geisha) and Geisha ( professional artist)!
Lastly we enjoyed dinner in Pontocho restaurant!!
How was it ?
