Hamarikyu Garden
Originally a place for falconry, then a samurai residence was built here in 1654.
It became an imperial villa in 1870 and was opened as a metropolitan park in 1946.
Bordering Tokyo Bay, the ponds here are all filled with seawater.
Visitors can enjoy matcha green tea and Japanese sweets at a teahouse in Nakanoshima island on the pond.
Odaiba
Artificial island.
Built from 1995 as a newly developed place for parks, amusements, stores, restaurants, offices and residences.
Connected to the mainland by the Rainbow Bridge.
Statue of Liberty
Commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Japan-France amity.
It’s a official replica of French Paris one.
Imperial place east garden
The imperial place itself was an ex-Edo castle.
It’s took over 1868 by the new government and placed as a imperial palace.
The imperial palace east garden is a beautiful spots with Japanese garden, stone walls, traditional buildings and moats.
It’s free, but close on Monday and Friday.

Meiji Shrine
The shrine which is dedicated for emperor Meiji and empress.
In 1920, 100,000 trees were donated from all over Japan, and botanical experts planned 200 years designing the shrine to become a natural forest.
Currently, the trees are about 20 meters tall, like a pristine forest, but by 2120, when the project is completed, the trees will be 30 meters tall and deep.
Asakusa
The traditional town in Tokyo.
Sensoji Temple was founded in 628,
the oldest temple in Tokyo.
The large red lantern is a landmark of Tokyo.
Nakamise shopping street is a fun place to buy Japanese souvenirs and enjoy Japanese snacks!
