Yasaka Pagoda
A temple of the Rinzai sect, founded in 589.
It’s one of the most scenic places in Kyoto.
Many people were taking photos!
Japanese-style Starbucks
There is a Japanese-style Starbucks on the approach to Kiyomizu Temple.
We took a break here.
It is a traditional Japanese house turned into a Starbucks.
The atmosphere is very exotic and fun.
Kiyomizu temple
Kiyomizu Temple, a World Heritage Site with a panoramic view of Kyoto, founded 778.
We walked along the approach to Kiyomizu Temple.
The autumn leaves were so beautiful!
We took many pictures from different angles.
Nioumon gate
This is a 10m tall main gate of Kiyomizu temple.
It stands on the stairs.
3 storied pagoda
It’s at just before the entrance.
It’s 30m tall , the tallest 3 storied pagoda in Japan.
The red color is very beautiful.
West gate
We can see through Kyoto view from this gate.
Also it’s said as a gate to heaven.
Lunch
We had a UDON noodle lunch!
It’s warm and yummy !!
Entokuin temple
Entokuin Temple was founded in 1632 and is the branch temple of Kodaiji Temple.
It is famous for its beautiful garden, and the autumn leaves were beautiful on this day.
Matcha (powdered green tea) is also available.
