Hi I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 28 countries!
I’m a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of English for 11 years.
For the people who are interested in and planning trip to Japan ,
I show you hidden local information which you have never seen and heard of through books and ordinary site!
You will find unexpected fun through my articles!
Climate
It is the most pleasant time of the year with cooler and drier days.
Average temperature: 10–15°C ( 50-65℉)
It is between autumn and winter, and you will need to wear one more layer of clothing.
Toward the end of the month, there are days when you may need a down jacket.
On the Sea of Japan side, in Kanazawa, Toyama, and other areas, the number of days with clouds and rain is increasing.
The weather on the Japan Sea side, Kanazawa, Toyama, etc. is completely different from the dry and sunny weather on the Pacific side, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima.
So be sure to prepare an umbrella and waterproof clothing if you go to the Sea of Japan area.
Clothing
An extra layer of clothing, such as a thin down jacket is useful in chilly morning and evening.
In Northern Japan or high-altitude areas, gloves and scarves may be necessary.
Events
Many cultural events are held throughout Japan in November.
Be sure to check out the events in your area, as there are music concerts, painting and calligraphy exhibitions, and many other events taking place.
You will be satisfied for sure.
Culture Day
November 3 is Culture Day, a national holiday.
It’s celebrating Japan’s culture and arts.
Many museums and galleries offer free admission, and cultural events are held across the country.
Meiji shrine
Meiji Jingu Shrine hosts a variety of events, traditional dances, traditional music, and more during this period.
On November 3, from 9:00 a.m., demonstrations of various traditional Japanese martial arts will be held in the west approach.
You will be able to see various Japanese martial arts that you would not normally be able to see.
You can also see Yabusame (horseback archery) at 1:30 p.m. on the west approach!
7,5,3 year’s celebration (Shichi-Go-San)
November 15 is Shichi-Go-San day.
Children who have turned 3, 5, and 7 years old come to visit the shrine with their families wearing kimonos.
They are very cute.
Recently, shrines encourage dispersed visits to avoid the concentration of November 15, so you are likely to see children on Saturdays and Sundays in November, peaking in mid-November.
Tori-no-Ichi (Big bird festival of prosperity)
This year these are 5th , 17th, 29th November.
A lively market held in places like Asakusa, Otori shrine and other shrines selling decorative rakes for good luck.
Labor Thanksgiving Day
November 23 is Labor Thanksgiving Day.
It is a national holiday.
It is a day to give thanks to those who work every day.
Many events are held on this day.
Autumn Leaves
In November, you can enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves all over Japan.
In Tokyo , Kyoto , Osaka and Hiroshima latter half of November is better.
The clear blue autumn sky contrasts wonderfully with the red and yellow leaves.
Be sure to check the foliage information and enjoy the autumn colors!
Tips
Clothing adjustment
•Temperatures vary greatly by region and time of day, so pack layers for flexibility.
Crowded autumn leaf spots
•Popular places for autumn foliage can get very crowded.
Visiting early in the morning or booking tickets in advance is recommended.
Dryness
•November is a dry season, so bringing lip balm and hand cream will help.
Pack light
•Crowded events and tourist spots can be challenging to navigate with large luggage, so travel light whenever possible.
I’m Nobu , one heart enjoy together!!
