1- day tour from Kyoto and Osaka
If you are traveling to Kyoto or Osaka and have a day to spare, I highly recommend visiting Himeji Castle.
It is only 44 minutes from Kyoto and 29 minutes from Shin-Osaka by Shinkansen, which is enough for a day trip.
History
Himeji Castle was built in 1346 as a samurai castle. The current building is the third generation and was completed in 1609.
At that time, the castle was still under the Warring States Period, which lasted from 1467 to 1615, and various defensive measures were taken.
UNESCO World Heritage Site
In 1993, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Horyu-ji Temple in Nara as the first of Japan.
White Heron
The castle is also called Shirasagijo (White Heron Castle) because the white castle tower and corridors on both sides resemble a white heron spreading its wings.
The white heron is also a bird very familiar to the Himeji area.
Original shape of 1609
The castle is still in its original state as it was when it was built in 1609, and the image of a samurai from the olden days comes to mind.
Why don’t you come and visit?
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
