‘SANKEI-EN Japanese garden in Yokohama’
SANKEI-EN is the big Japanese garden which has 17 traditional buildings including 3 storied pagoda, museum, cafes , big pond , hill, and valley inside .
It’s founded 1906 by Mr.SANKEI HARA, the rich silk business man.
The atmosphere is very open, calm and quiet even near the big city .
The nice place to relax with family. On the pond you can feed the birds and Koi fish . There are street performances near the pond too.
There is a’ NAIEN( inner garden) which has many MOMIJI( Japanese maple) along the valley, very beautiful during colorful leaves period from the end of November to middle of December.
