Hi I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 26 countries!
I’m a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of English for 10 years.
For the people who are interested in and planning trip to Japan ,
I show you hidden local information which you have never seen and heard of through books and ordinary site!
You will find unexpected fun through my articles!
Our itinerary was below!
Hamarikyu Garden
Originally a place for samurai falconry, a samurai residence was built in 1654.
It became an imperial villa in 1870 and was opened as a metropolitan park in 1946.
Bordering Tokyo Bay, all the ponds here are filled with seawater.
Visitors can enjoy matcha green tea and Japanese sweets at a teahouse in Nakanoshima.
Shibuya Crossing
The busiest crossing in the world.
At times, 3,000 people cross at a single traffic light.
We took photos with Hachiko dog statue!
Meiji Shrine
The largest shrine in Tokyo.
The torii gate at the entrance is a landmark.
It’s surrounded by 100,000 big trees which are donated from all over Japan!
We came across the 3,5,7 years celebration girls!
They are cute!!
Takeshita Street
A gathering place for young people.
There are many cute shops , animals cafes here.
Colorful cotton candy is very popular.
Togo shrine
It’s a quiet shrine just 2 minutes from Takeshita street.
There is a beautiful Japanese garden here.
There are big colorful Koi fish in the pond!
It’s a huge contrast with laude Takeshita street.
Shinjuku gyoen park
This area was originally given by the famous samurai Tokugawa Ieyasu to his retainer samurai in 1591 as a residence for him.
In 1906, it was opened as Shinjuku Gyoen, an imperial park.
There are various types of gardens, and cafes.
There are
1:Japanese-style garden
2:English-style garden
3:French-style garden
4:Green house
It’s huge and you can spend half day here.
Hanazono Shrine
This is a hidden beautiful shrine in Shinjuku.
It’s located in the busy area but inside is peaceful.
There are many Torii gates!
Golden Gai bars town
There are 250 tiny bars this area.
It’s started as a black market after WW2.
The system is you pay the seat fee( 1000 yen) and pay at each glass!
We tried a shot at the tiny bar!!
Godzilla head
In Shinjuku Kabukicho, you can see Godzilla head on top of the Toho movie building no!
Omoide Yokocho( memory alley )
It is also known as Yakitori Yokocho, as well as the former common name Pissing Yokocho( alley).
It has its roots in the black market that was established around 1946.
It still remains as it was at that time.
You feel like you are back in time!!
How was it?
Why don’t you try next chance?
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
