1st January Happy new year tour!
We did Happy New Year tour with 5 kids and 6 adults!
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the biggest entertainment town in Japan.
1:Omoide yokocho in Shinjuku
We started our tour from Shinjuku okoide yokocho.
This is a tiny restaurants alley where provide yakitori, ramen, yakiniku and other Japanese dishes.
This alley started as a black market after WW2.
You can experience the local people’s daily dietary !
2:DONQUIHOTE
This is a 24 hours open big discount store chain.
You can buy clothing , cosmetics, electric gadgets, foods and everything!
It’s very fun to walk around and find something.
3:Godzilla head
There is a Godzilla head on top of the TOHO movie building .( Godzilla is filmed by TOHO movie company)
We took memorial photo with him!
4:Golden Gai( bars town)
There are 250 tiny bars here.
It’s also started as a black market after WW2.
There were people still drinking from NYE this day!
5:Hanazono shrine
This shrine is said originally from Nara prefecture from west part of Japan in the ancient time.
It’s rebuilt 16 century in a beautiful flower area here.
The name Hanazoko( flower garden) comes from this story.
We did new year resolution as Japanese way!!
Omotesando in Harajuku
Omotesando is a tree lined front approach to Meiji shrine.
6: Tokyu plaza building
This is the building at Omotesando which stands out the entrance mirror.
There is a small green park on the top.
7:Sunny hills
We enjoyed building watching which are designed by famous architects!
Our goal was SUNNY HILLS pineapple cafe !
This is designed by KENGO KUMA, the architect who designed the National stadium of Japan!
The whole design is like a pineapple!
How was them ?
I recommend you enjoy these spots too!
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
