Shrines and temples
These are open all year round and are very crowded because this is the best time of the year.
Tourists from overseas will be surprised at the number of people.

Of course, the parks are open all year round and are always bustling with people.

The year-end and New Year’s holidays are a busy time.
Tokyo Midtown( 1st January closed)
Roppongi Hills( open but shops and restaurants are closed)
Azabudai Hills( 1st January closed)
Sunshine city
Ameyoko( 1st January closed)
Tsukiji market( 28,31 December, 1,2,3,4 January closed)
Lucky bag
Be sure to pick up a Lucky bag(fukubukuro)!
January 2 is the start of the New Year’s sales of Lucky bag(fukubukuro).
Inside the bags are items worth 3-4 times the normal price.
Convenience stores, supermarkets, department stores, clothing stores, goods stores and all other retailers offer their own lucky bag(fukubukuro).
Nature
You can hike Mt.Takao during this period.
The cable car and lift are on operation.
