The honeymoon is the next big event in life after the wedding.

Everyone wants to make it a memorable and wonderful one.

I have seen many foreign tourists choose Japan for their honeymoon.

Let’s take a look at seven reasons why you should choose Japan as your honeymoon destination.

It’s far away

Japan can only be visited by plane or cruise ship, and the planning and itinerary itself strengthens the bond between the two of you and makes the trip even more exciting.

Hitachi seaside park

Japan is a very clean country, so you have few chances to feel uncomfortable by dirty garbages when walking around the city or visiting any place.

Friendly service

In Japan, shopkeepers at convenience stores, malls, restaurants, etc. are generally very friendly and helpful.

So you are unlikely to experience any discomfort.

Less chance of getting into trouble

Forgot things

In Japan, if you forget something on a train, you are more likely to get it back.

81.9% of smartphones forgotten on trains are returned.

There is less chance of pickpocketing or other theft, so there is less need to worry about such things.

It is easy to find what you both like

There are modern culture and historical spots both here.

It will make it easy to find something you both enjoy.

For example

Meiji Jingu Shrine, the largest shrine in Tokyo, with a solemn atmosphere surrounded by a forest of 10,000 trees.

Takeshita-dori is the most famous street in Harajuku, a town for young people.

Rainbow cotton candy, crepes, strawberry candy, mini pigs cafe, and other cute culture abound.

The contrast between the two spots are only 5 minute walk.

Other mixes

Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple
Tokyo Sky Tree and Asakusa
Akihabara and Kanda Myojin shrine
Shinjuku Gyoen and Godzilla Head
Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace

There is a high possibility that a wide range of interests of two people can be satisfied within walking distance!

Close to nature

It’s very close to both cities and nature, and you can enjoy the beautiful nature of the sea and mountains within short train trip.

By incorporating beautiful nature into your itinerary, you will be able to relax more than if you only travel in the city.

Variety of accommodations

There are guesthouses for backpackers to ultra-luxury hotels.

There are also Japanese ryokans, which are completely different from western style hotels.

it’s ranging from the more common machiya, or traditional townhouse, to luxurious onsen ryokans, the rooms are equipped with an open-air onsen bath.

A room with an open-air bath is a bit expensive, but it will be a memory that will last a lifetime.
