‘Hiking in OZE wetland-4’
OZE is the biggest wetland of Japan which formed 10000 years ago by volcano dammed river .
The size is 6km×3km the elevation is 1400-1600m,surrounded by four 2000m over tall mountains.
It’s one of the 34 national parks of Japan.
This wetland and the surrounding mountains are a popular trekking area .
I climbed Mt. HIUCHIGATAKE 2356m , which is the tallest mountain east side of Tokyo Japan.
It’s an active volcano which erupted time to time and formed the OZE wetland.
We can see the beautiful view of OZE wetland and surrounding mountains from the top .
There are some snow valleys on our down path .
It was slippery and had to walk carefully.
We can see wetland and MIZUBASHO flowers on the mountain trail.
