Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation deck is one of the popular observation decks in Tokyo.
There are Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Sky, Mori building etc..
You have to pay to go up these places but Tokyo metropolitan government building is free!

• North Observatory:

You can play here!
Relaxed atmosphere.
View from the North Observatory

From the North side, you can see:
• Tokyo Skytree on clear days
• Mt. Fuji in the distance (especially in winter)
• Stunning sunset colors and the glowing city lights at night
Enjoying the South Observatory

The South deck provides:
• A great daytime view of Shinjuku Gyoen Garden and other green spaces
• A closer look at Shinjuku’s skyscrapers
• A bright, panoramic daytime city view
Sunset Experience

Arrive about 30 minutes before sunset.
Watch the city shift from golden hour light to sparkling night scenery.
The North Observatory is especially recommended for this.
Night View

At night, Tokyo becomes a sea of lights. You can spot:
• The neon signs of Shinjuku
• The glow of Tokyo Tower and Skytree in the distance
• A breathtaking 360° panorama of the world’s largest metropolis
I chose the South Observatory because of the friendly atmosphere of the street piano!
