Lake Toya and Mt.Yotei in Hokkaido

Hi I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 25 countries!

I’m a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of English for 8 years.

I show you hidden Japan which you have never seen and heard of!

Lake Toya

Lake Toya in Hokkaido

I stayed at a hotel by Lake Toya.

Lake Toya is located in southwestern Hokkaido and was formed within the “Toya Caldera”.

It is the 9th largest lake in Japan in terms of area and the 3rd largest caldera lake in Japan after Lake Kussharo and Lake Shikotsu.

The lake is approximately 11 km from east to west and 9 km from north to south.

And it is surrounded by Mount Usu, Mt.Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya Onsen town.

I stayed at the Nonokaze Resort Hotel.

This hotel is located on the south side of Lake Toya.

The nice thing about this hotel is that you can see the beautiful shore of Lake Toya and if the weather is nice, you can see the beautiful Mt. Yotei on the other side of Lake Toya all at once.

You can see it from the hotel lobby, from the restaurant where you eat, and from my favorite open air bath on the rooftop!

Mt.Yotei

Mt.Yotei in Hokkaido

Mt.Yotei is an active volcano with the same conical shape as Mt.Fuji.

It’s 1898m the 3rd tallest mountain in Hokkaido.

Why don’t you come and see Lake Toya and Mt. Yotei at once?

If you come to the south shore of the Lake Toya, you can see this view even you don’t stay this hotel.

I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
