Me and my family visited Jindaiji , the outskirt of Tokyo.
Jindaiji town
Jindaiji is a very traditional town, very unlike Tokyo, only 40-50 minutes from Shinjuku Station.
It’s a quiet small town.
Jindaiji temple
Jindaiji Temple is a Buddha temple of Tendai school founded in 733.
It is the second oldest temple in Tokyo after Sensoji Temple, founded in 628.
Bronze statue
bronze statue of Buddha made in the 7th century is a national treasure.
The temple itself is not large, but there is a small gate town where visitors who like restaurants and shopping can spend even half a day.
Waterfall
There is a waterfall used by Shugendo practitioners, and the clear stream and small creek are pretty.
There is also a waterwheel on the river, and the scene of the old days has been preserved as it was.
Soba noodle
There are 20 Soba(buckwheat )noodle restaurants in the area.
Eating lunch at a buckwheat noodle shop while taking a stroll is a regular custom here.
Sweets cafe
There is also sweets cafes, and many people visit both the soba noodle and sweet cafe after.
On this day, we were very happy to see the beautiful autumn leaves!
How was it?
Why don’t you try next chance?
I’m Nobu , one heart enjoy together!!
