Hozu River Rafting
Hozu River rafting is a popular activity that takes about two hours from Kameoka in the northern part of Kyoto down the swift Hozu River to Arashiyama.
On this day, beautiful autumn leaves could be seen on both banks of the river.
Hogonin Temple
Hogonin Temple was founded in 1461 and is the branch temple of Tenryuji Temple.
It is famous for its beautiful autumn leaves.
On this day, we enjoyed matcha green tea and Japanese sweets while viewing the beautiful autumn leaves.
Arashiyama-dori Street
Arashiyama-dori is lined with many souvenir stores, sweet stores, and restaurants.
Delicious!
Kimono Forest
The Arashiyama Electric Railway station is decorated with a Kimono Forest.
Pretty!
Togetsu Bridge
Togetsu Bridge is the symbol of Arashiyama.
Since as far back as the 9th century, aristocrats used this place as a resort to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Yasaka Pagoda
A temple of the Rinzai sect, founded in 589.
It was beautifully illuminated.
Kodaiji Temple
A temple of the Rinzai sect, founded in 1606.
It is famous for the illumination of autumn leaves.
On this day, we saw a fantastic light-up of autumn leaves and a show.
Beef steak Dinner
We had a delicious steak for dinner.
It is one of the most delicious steak restaurant in Kyoto.
Geisha Spotting
On our way back to the hotel we came across geisha leaving a party.
We are lucky!
Minami-za Theater
The Minami-za Theater, where kabuki performances ( Japanese traditional drama )are held in Kyoto, was beautifully lit up.
