Murinan Japanese garden

This is the 19th century politician’s villa.

This Japanese garden represents the natural scenery rather than symbolic gardens like sand and rocks.

The back drop is Higashiyama mountains of Kyoto.

It’s said this garden is to enjoy the view of Higashiyama mountains not only garden itself.

Ramen Lunch

We had udon lunch at the ramen restaurant at the entrance of Fushimi Inari shrine!

Delicious!

Fushimi Inari Shrine

Founded 711.

5 minutes by train from Kyoto Station.

It’s very famous for its 10,000 red torii gates.

This is the setting for the Hollywood movie Memory of a Geisha.

Senbon Torii( 1000 Torii gates)

If you walk in the Torii gate, there is a 2 way paths of lot of gates.

It’s a surreal stunning view !!

You have to walk right way!

Omokaru-ishi (stone that weighs heavy or light challenge)

This is a stone that you lift up after making a wish, and if you feel light, your wish will be granted.

If you feel heavy, you need more effort.

Osaka Castle park

We went inside Osaka Castle park.

Osaka castle was founded 1597 as a samurai castle.

The surrounding area is a biggest park in Osaka full of green and seasonal flowers!

We enjoyed the moat and the early cherry blossoms.

We came across a cute Shiba Inu!

She made friend with this Shiba!!

Osaka Castle tower

We climbed up to the Osaka Castle tower.

It’s a 3 rd generation from 1597.

You can walk up the tower, but we took the elevator.

The tower is 54.8 m high and offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding area.

Samurai costume

On the 2nd floor of Osaka Castle, there is a service where you can have your picture taken in a samurai costume.

They look very strong as samurai!

Dotonbori

The busiest shopping street in Japan.

Signs for foodstuffs such as crab, puffer fish, and beef line the streets.

It’s a very unique view of Japan!!

Hozenji Temple

One street inside from Dotonbori, you will enter the quiet Hozenji Yokocho( alley).

The water-hanging Fudo Buddha statue here is always covered with moss as worshippers pour water on it.
