Our itinerary is below!
Hozu River Rafting

Hozu River rafting is a popular activity that takes about two hours from Kameoka in the northern part of Kyoto down the swift Hozu River to Arashiyama.
During our rafting, we could see deer, ducks, herons, turtles and many birds!
Arashiyama street

Arashiyama was a resort area for aristocrats people from 10th century .
Now there are many cute shops, restaurants and cafes along this street.

Their meat has a marble and really delicious!
Yummy!
Nomiya Shrine, Shrine of Love Stories

This shrine is mentioned in the Tale of Genji written in 1008, which is called the world’s oldest novel.
Nowadays, it is constantly filled with people praying for the fulfillment of their love and for the birth of a child.
Bamboo forest

The path through the bamboo grove is a short walk from Nomiya Shrine.
It is a very surrealistic atmosphere as you enter the tall bamboo grove.
Tenryuji Temple

Tenryuji Temple was founded in 1343 as a temple of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism.
It is registered as a World Heritage site.
The Japanese garden with a pond is beautiful.
Arashiyama Kimono Forest

At Arashiyama Station of Arashiyama Electric Railway, there are many objects with kimono patterns called “Kimono Forest.
It is very fun to see the various patterns.
Togetsu Bridge

This 155m bridge is the symbol of Arashiyama.
The atmosphere of the Katsura River and surrounding mountains changes with the seasons.
It’s making a beautiful scenery any time of year you visit.
Arashiyama Monkey Park

There is a small shrine across the I’m Togetsu Bridge, which is the entrance to the park. The entrance fee is 800 yen and 400 yen for children.
After entering the entrance, a 20-minute walk along a mountain path leads to the Monkey Park.
There are 30-40 Japanese monkeys roaming around freely, paying no attention to humans.
You can buy food for 100 yen to feed the monkeys.
We can feed them!
It’s really fun!!
How was it?
