‘DOUGASHIMA’
I visited DOIGASHIMA in west IZU peninsula 3 hours from Tokyo.
There is no train this area only car can access here .
But still very popular for Japanese people because of its nice sceneries of the seashore , rocky cliffs , big cave at the coast and Onsens ( natural hot spa).
There is a walk way along the coast and you can enjoy the rocky cliffs view and big hole (TENSODOU) of the cave .
There are sightseeing boats from the pier and the boat shows us the beautiful sea, cliff-seashore and the‘Blue cave ‘ .
This cave is made by the waves and the boat goes inside the cave ! The color of the water is blue by the reflection of the sunshine (not like Blue Grotto of Italy because the cave hole is open to the sunshine).
Also there is a walkway to the SANSHIRO island when the low tide like Mose divided the water .
You can enjoy the different natural scenery here from the big cities!
