‘Early spring footages in OGOSE plum garden next to Tokyo’
OGOSE plum garden is one of the 3 famous plum gardens in Tokyo area .
1: KAIRAKUEN in IBARAKI prefecture
2: ATAMI BAIEN in KANAGAWA prefecture
3: OGOSE BAITIN in SAITAMA prefecture
There are 1000 plum trees in this garden, also surrounding area is a plum farm garden of 25000 plum trees.
In 14th century the first plum trees were carried from KYUSHU, the south most island of Japan, following the building the branch of DAZAIFU shrine in KYUSHU.
Because DAZAIFU shrine is very famous for its plum blossoms commemorate for SUGAWARA MICHIZANE , the tragic aristocrat.
This area is famous for its dry plum fruits, plum sweets and other souvenirs.
