Frozen lake, five-story pagoda, shopping district, torii with Mt.Fuji!
Hi I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 25 countries!
I’m a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of English for 8 years.
For the people who are interested in and planning trip to Japan ,
I show you hidden local information which you have never seen and heard of through books and ordinary site!
You will find unexpected fun in my articles!
I took a tour of the frozen lake, which is only possible this time of year, to see Mt.Fuji !
1: Arakurayama Sengen Shrine
This is a popular Mt. Fuji view spot in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
Mt.Fuji together with the five-story pagoda is special that cannot be seen anywhere else.
Mt.Fuji was a little overcast in the morning, but by the time we arrived, we had a full view of the mountain.
2:Honcho shopping street
We pass through Honcho shopping street, where we can see retro shopping street and Mt.Fuji at the same time.
We found another nice photo spot with Torii gate and Mt.Fuji.
3:Oishi Park, Mt. Fuji seen over Kawaguchi Lake
Oishi Park is a view spot of Mt.Fuji and has a tourist facility with a rest area, souvenir store, and cafe.
The most impressive sight is the view of Mt. Fuji from the surface of Lake Kawaguchi all at once.
We enjoyed the spectacular view from the terrace of the café.
4:Shiraito Waterfall
Shiraito waterfall is a 150m wide and 20m high waterfall located on the west side of Mt.Fuji.
The snow that fell on Mt. Fuji has turned into underground water, which spurts out directly from the ground, not from a river.
The roaring sound is very powerful.
5:Fujinomiya Yakisoba ( grilled noodles )Lunch
Fujinomiya Yakisoba is a popular local food in Japan.
Enjoy your lunch time with a beer!
6:Narusawa Ice Cave
There are many caves at the foot of Mt.Fuji.
Narusawa Ice Cave has several meters of ice all year round, and in the Edo period (1603-1867), the local lord of this area presented ice as a summer gift to the shogun of Edo (now Tokyo).
7:Frozen Lake Yamanakako
Lake Yamanakako is the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes and is also located at the highest elevation around 1000m.
It is known to freeze over in winter, and on this day the eastern half of the lake was frozen over.
Many people gathered to take pictures of Diamond Fuji as the sun set over the top of Mt.Fuji.
8:Oshinohakkai Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Finally, we went to Oshinohakkai, a UNESCO World Heritage Village.
We could see clear view of Mt.Fuji still .
We got some water from Mt.Fuji for free.
Thank you for joining the tour!
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
