Hiking in Higashiyama Kyoto
I hiked in Higashiyama in Kyoto, Japan.
Kyoto is a basin surrounded by mountains on three sides.
These are Higashiyama (East Mountain), Nishiyama (West Mountain), and Kitayama (North Mountain).
I hiked in Higashiyama( East Mountain).
Back mountain of Ginkakuji( silver pavilion)
This is also the mountain behind the famous Ginkakuji Temple( silver pavilion ).
After an hour’s hike from Ginkakuji Temple I reached Hidokoro, ( fire place)which is used for the famous Daimonji Fire Festival, a summer event.

From here, you can see the whole view of Kyoto.
You can clearly see Kyoto Station, Kyoto Tower, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Kitayama( North Mountain)
You will find another scenery of Kyoto!
