How to Visit Imperial Villas in Kyoto without Advanced Reservations!
I visited Sento imparial palace without internet reservation and enjoyed it!
Kyoto was the capital of Japan from 794-1868 and is famous for being the birthplace of the current Japanese culture.
There are 1,500 Buddha temples and 500 Shinto shrines, 17 of them are registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Furthermore, several imperial villas are also open to the public.
They are secretly very popular, because they are free or inexpensive (1,000 yen, 7 dollars) and really impressively preserved.
The reservations are always busy, and I’ve never able to make reservations via the Internet.
However, I would like to introduce a method that I use to go in even if I can’t make a reservation in advance on the Internet.
The secret is to go to the Imperial Household Agency office in the Kyoto Imperial Gardens and make a reservation on the day of your visit or the day before.
