This place has been famous as a habitat for Japanese monkeys since its opening in 1956.
View
The view of Kyoto city from here is magnificent!
We can see Mt.Hieizan, Mt.Kitayama, and Mt.Higashiyama all in one view, and the scenery changes beautifully from season to season.
The Arashiyama monkey group, which consists of 120 Japanese macaques, has been observed for 60 years.
All individuals have been identified and their parent-child relationships and birth dates have been recorded.
This fact is highly appreciated not only in Japan but also overseas, and researchers are constantly visiting the site.
Anyone can come into close contact with wild macaques and learn about their ecology and monkey society through their behavior.
In addition, wild boars, raccoons, flying squirrels, and weasels live near the amusement park.
Deer are seen every day, but they do not approach humans very often.
Feeding
The funny thing is we can feed them through a cage.
But human is inside!
Why don’t you come to see and feed the monkeys?
You will find an another charm of kyoto !
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
