‘SAKURA EXPLOSION has started!’
SAKURA ( cherry blossom) explosion has started in Tokyo!
The cherry blossom begun flowering 14th March this year, 12 days earlier than normal year .
I visited SHINJUKU-GYOEN park, one of the popular HANAMI ( cherry blossom viewing) spots in Tokyo.
SHINJUKU-GYOEN area was the SAMURAI residence in middle age , changed as the botanical garden 1879, converted as the public
city park 1949.
There are
1:Two Japanese gardens
( big and small)
2: English garden
3: French garden
4: Green house
There are 1300 cherry trees in the garden.
I recommend you go to the Japanese garden.
You can take photos SAKURA and skyscraper at the same time.
KODOMO ENCHI( children’s park) and SAKURA ENCHI ( cherry park) are nice to enjoy cherry blossom too.
But there are cherry trees all around the park, you can find your favorite spot .
