You will find unexpected fun in my articles!

Nikko

Nikko is a Japanese national park in Tochigi prefecture.

There are volcanos, lakes, big waterfalls, and many onsen resorts around this area.

It’s a big resort to enjoy nature and relax in onsen.

Lake Yunoko ( hot water lake)

I went to see the first autumn leaves this year at Lake Yunoko in Nikko.

Lake Yunoko is located in the western part of Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

It is a dammed lake created by the eruption of Mitake volcano in the northeast.

It is 1,478 meters above sea level.

The circumference is 2.8 km and there is a hiking course along the lakeside.

The depth of the water is 12m.

The smell of sulfur from the hot springs surrounds the lake.

it’s similar to onsen!

Although hot spring water flows into the lake, the shallow depth of the water sometimes causes the entire lake to freeze over in winter.

At the southern end of the lake is Yunotaki water fall.

Which is the starting point of the hiking trail to Yudaki Senjogahara.

It takes about one hour to go around the area.

From the south of the lake , Mt. Shiranesan and the mountains connected to it were reflected on the surface of the Lake Yunoko, a very beautiful scenery!

Autumn leaves

The autumn leaves were gradually starting to turn, and many leaves were already completely colored.

The sound of water cascading down from the south side of the lake into Yudaki Falls could be heard at all times.

This place is called Oku-Nikko, ( higher Nikko) and it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes by car from Tokyo.

However, there is a beauty that cannot be experienced in Tokyo.

Why don’t you take a day trip from Tokyo to Lake Yunoko in Nikko?

I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
