Mt.Myojin top
I went hiking at Mt. Myojin, which is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, near Lake Yamanaka, one of the five lakes of Mt.Fuji.
We can see Mt.Fuji, Lake Yamanaka, and the Japanese Alps together, and it is a very scenic mountain.
Daruma doll on the top
The top of the mountain is open and the view of Mt.Fuji is great!
At the top, there were families and friends.
One of the couples made a Daruma snowman and took a picture of it with Mount Fuji in the background.
Daruma was an old Buddhist monk who spent nine years in meditation to attain enlightenment.
Finally he attained enlightenment, but he lost his legs because he had been in meditation for so long.
Daruma is a symbol of never giving up in Japan.
Datuma and the goal
