I visited NIPPARA limestone cave in OKUTAMA, west part of Tokyo.
This limestone cave is one of the 9 popular limestone caves in Japan.
It was a training place of practitioners of SHUGENDO religion, which is the fusion of Shintoism and Buddhism.
There are many things to see in it , most of them are named as Buddhism terms .
Like ‘ Hell river ’ ‘lucky love KANNON ’ ‘ monk’s study room’ etc…..
It’s a popular family excursion place now . The mail hall is a big and illuminated several colors beautifully.
It’s 11℃( 51.8℉) inside , very cold .
It’s 33 ℃ in Tokyo today, nice way to cool down.
It’s located OKUTAMA, 2 hours from Tokyo, 30 minutes bus .
The entrance fee is 800 yen( 8 dollars). The surrounding area is along the beautiful river side.
You also enjoy beautiful green and river stream here .
It’s a bit far from Tokyo but nice way to refresh from hot humid Tokyo summer. If you visit Tokyo in summer, check it out!!
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
