Bougainvillea Bonsai
Bougainvillea is a tropical plant with flowers that have little fragrance and many colors, including red and white.
The part of the plant that looks like a flower is a modified leaf.
And the flower is the white part within the leaf, which is bright and attractive.
Be careful, as it will have spines.
It prefers warm climates.
Place
Basically, it prefers sunlight.
It should be placed in a sunny and well-ventilated location.
In spring and fall, it prefers a sunny spot outdoors or indoors.
In summer, keep it alternating between semi-shady and sunny locations.
In winter, bring it indoors before frost and keep it in a sunny place as much as possible.
Watering
During the growing season from April to October, give it plenty of water when the topsoil dries out.
Fertilizer
You fertilize with solid or liquid fertilizer from April to fall.
Adjust the amount of fertilizer accordingly, as too much fertilizer can damage the plant.
Pests and Diseases
Aphids are likely to occur from spring.
If you find aphids, spray them with a chemical to get rid of them.
Replanting
April to May is the best time to replant.
Repot the plant into a larger pot once every year or two, as the roots become flattened.
Pruning
After flowering is over, cut back the branches that have grown long and prune back by September.
How is it ?
You can care by yourself from now!
