The promenade along the imperial moat stretching west of the Imperial Palace is one of Tokyo’s premier cherry blossom spots.

With cherry trees lining the path for about 700 meters, you’ll feel as though you’re walking through a tunnel of blossoms.

Taking a boat ride to view the cherry blossoms from the water is also popular and particularly well-received by foreigners as a “photo-worthy” experience.

Yasukuni Shrine

Yasukuni shrine

Located just a short walk from Chidorigafuchi, it is also known for housing Japan’s official cherry blossom blooming reference tree.

Many cherry blossoms bloom across the spacious grounds, and with food stalls lining the area, you can experience a lively “festival-like hanami.”

Kitanomaru Park

Kitanomaru park

Located right next to Yasukuni Shrine, this is a vast park with a tranquil atmosphere.

It is so quiet that you would never guess you’re in the heart of the city.

You can enjoy the cherry blossoms while surrounded by nature.

The wide lawns and shaded areas are also perfect for picnics.

The area along the pond in Kitanomaru Park is a particularly recommended picnic spot.

The contrast between the cherry blossoms reflected on the water and the blue sky is truly beautiful—a quintessential Japanese spring scene.

I recommend you buy some snacks and drinks from a convenience store spread out a picnic blanket, and you can easily experience a “Japanese-style picnic.”

You enjoy the charm of Japan’s hanami culture.

How was it?

Why don’t you try next chance?

I’m Nobu , one heart enjoy together!!
