Omotesando street
Omotesando street is one of the approaches to Meiji shrine, which is the biggest shrine in Tokyo.
It is from metro OMOTESANDO station to MEIJI shrine, 1100m long .
There are many world brand’s buildings along both sides of the street.
Ginza is also famous they have many world’s brands buildings , but Omotesando has younger customers than Ginza.
The side streets are also popular for its hip trendy stores.
In 1st December to 26th December they do a illumination event by lightning up 150 Japanese zelkovas.
They started this event 1991.
Start walking from Omotesando station
You start walking from Omotesando station you can enjoy beautiful scenery while walking.
Then If you walk 5 minutes, you arrive Omotesando hills building on the right side.
Omotesando hills Xmas tree
They have Xmas tree in the center of the building, you can see it for free.
After you enjoy Omotesando hills, walk 5 minutes more , you get to the crossing.
Omohara-no-mori at Tokyu plaza building rooftop
There is a Tokyu plaza building right side .
You go up the 6th floor roof top , there is also illumination too.
This place is called Omohara-no-mori, rooftop park.
It’s free too.
There is a Starbucks next to this rooftop park.
But you don’t necessarily have to buy at Starbucks.
You can brig your own drink and food there .
As I mentioned above if you go to Omotesando you can enjoy 3 beautiful illumination spots at once!
