‘CHERRY BLOSSOM ILLUMINATION’
I visited TOUJI temple cherry blossom illumination in Kyoto.
TOUJI temple was founded AD796 by KUKAI as SHINGON school temple , he is one of the most famous Buddha monks in Japanese history.
People believe KUKAI is still living today and praying for everybody, so they offer meals for him every morning 6:00.
TOUJI temple is also popular for its antique market every 21st day of the month.
Cherry blossom illumination is from 19th March to 18th April 2021, almost same period during cherry blossom season.
It costs 1000 yen( 10 dollars) .
