Kappabashi kitchenware town
I went to Kappabashi kitchenware town.
Kappabashi is the common name for an 800 m long area located between Asakusa and Ueno in Taito-ku, Tokyo.
It is a wholesale district mainly dealing with various tools.
They deal tableware tools, wrapping materials, cooking utensils, food samples, food ingredients, and cooking costumes.
There are more than 170 stores specializing in various kitchen utensils and equipment.
And it is said that “We can buy anything related to cooking and kitchen equipment here. “
Many of their customers are restaurant owners and chefs.
Japanese knife
I saw a Japanese knife store.
The shop guy was just sharpening knife.
There are several stores that only sell kitchen knives.
For souvenirs
Kitchen knives seem to be the most popular souvenir for foreign tourists.
This is because people from all over the world cook dishes.
It’s 15 minutes walk from Asakusa or 5 minutes walk from metro Tawaramachi station .
Why don’t you come to Kappabashi kitchenware town and look at cooking tools?
I think you can find anything you want!
Enjoy shopping and cooking!
