‘FOX GOD?’
If you visit FUSHIMI-INARI and other INARI shrines ( there are over 30,000 INARI shrines in Japan)you notice that there are many fox statues in shrine area.
Some people misunderstood that these are the object for prayer.

But these foxes aren’t the object for prayer but, the servants of Harvest God . Because foxes eat the mouses , bugs and other small creatures which prevents the rice harvest and help it.
These foxes hold 4 things in their mouth.
1: Ball , the symbol of God’s spirit.
2: Key , the symbol of wish to be
with God.
3: Book , the symbol of wisdom .
4: Head of rice , the symbol of
prosperity .
