Munakata-taisha shrine , one of the oldest shrines in Japan and UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE!
Ninomiya
Sannomiya
Munakata-taisha shrine is the head shrine of the 7,000 Munakata and Itsukushima shrines in all over Japan.
There are 3 shrines.
And three shrines are considered to be one:
Soja, which I visited, Nakatsukumiya, located 11 km out to sea, and Okitsumiya, 49 km out to sea.
Nakatsumiya island
The three shrines are aligned in a straight line.
Okitsumiya Shrine is off-limits and is known for the large number of offerings that have been excavated since prehistoric times.
Many of the various offerings that have been excavated are valuable, and 8,000 items have been designated as national treasures.
Takamiya Festival Hall
Takamiya Festival site is said to be the place where God first descended.
And according to the ancient Shinto style , there is no shrine pavilion or torii (gate).
There are only a few rows of simple stones.
The atmosphere is simply quiet, and the only sounds are the wind and the rustling of leaves.
How was it?
Why don’t you try next chance?
I’m Nobu , one heart enjoy together!!
