Nanzenji temple in Kyoto
I went to Nanzenji Temple to enjoy the autumn leaves.
It is a temple of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, founded in 1291.
Top of Zen
It is considered the top of the top of Zen Buddhism in Japan.
We feel something importance about its size and the surrounding atmosphere.
It’s built at the foot of Higashiyama area.
There are currently 13 pagoda temples, but at one time there were 60 pagoda temples.
Colorful autumn leaves
The best time to view the autumn leaves is usually from mid to late November.
If you are in Japan at this time of year, you should definitely visit.
There are many sights to see, such as the magnificent gate, the main hall, the Lake Biwa waterway, and the Japanese garden.
