‘100 cherry blossom spots in Japan at HIMEJI castle’
I went to my home town HIMEJI city.
This is HIMEJI castle, the first UNESCO world heritage site of Japan.
It’s called ‘ white bird ‘ from its beautiful white wall .
History of Himeji castle
The first building was built 1346, renovated as today’s shape in 17th century.
This donjon is one of the 12th original donjons which remain today.
You can walk up to the top of the donjon where you can see the nice view of HIMEJI city.
There are 1000 cherry trees at the front area , along the moat and the NISHINOMARU ( west )garden.
If you have time , I recommend to visit KOKOEN Japanese garden next to the castle.
It’s also well preserved and very beautiful with cherry blossom and pond. In KOKOEN garden there is a tea house you can drink and eat .
It takes 50 minutes by Shinkansen from Kyoto, 35 minutes from Osaka to HIMEJI station.
If you visit Kyoto or Osaka, try HIMEJI castle.
You will find another beauty of Japan here .
You can walk to the HIMEJI castle from the HIMEJI station on foot 15 minutes!
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
