‘100 cherry blossom spots in Japan, at KYOTO GOSHO( imperial palace)’
I visited KYOTO GOSHO( imperial palace) where Japanese TENNO( emperor) lived around here until from 794 to 1868 .
Then the emperor moved to Tokyo since then.
The whole area is very wide with palace , huge garden and ground.
There are several spots to see , ex-imperial residents, shrines, many flower areas , rest areas, picnic places and cafes .
It’s kind of a big park and play ground for local people too.
I recommend you rent a bicycle at the shop near south west exit .
The palace itself opens to the public for free.
There are many cherry trees along the west area. Also many weeping cherry blossoms at the north area is really beautiful!
