Beach opening day 1st July !

1st July is the beach opening day!
Umibiraki (beach opening day ) is the day on which beaches are opened in every year.
Beaches are usually open for a certain period of time.
Most of them are from 1st July to 31st August in Japan.
But it varies up to the area.
In Okinawa from 1st April, Ogasawara 1st January!!( it means we can swim all year around in Ogasawara)
What are installed
This is the period when lifeguards and lifesavers are posted.
In addition, safety measures such as shark nets, jellyfish nets, and oil fences are installed.
Also parking lots, changing rooms, showers, toilets, etc.are provided.
Furthermore stores, restaurants, and other convenient facilities such as beach houses are built .
Events
On this day , the events are often held on the first day of the beach opening.
The beach-opening event often includes a Shinto ritual performed by a Shinto priest.
They pray for prosperity and safety during the season.

But swimming is allowed outside of the opening period.( I already swam in March)
However, outside of the opening period, the above-mentioned safety measures are often not taken or convenience facilities are closed.
In Enoshima, the sea opens from July 1 through August 31.
Hot Japanese summer has come
Tokyo had the earliest end of the rainy season in history on June 25, 2022.
After this , the temperature is exceeding 35°C consecutive days!!
The best way to beat the heat is to get in the water.
Japan is surrounded by the sea and has 1,079 operated beaches.
