Hi I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 26 countries!
I’m a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of English for 10 years.
For the people who are interested in and planning trip to Japan ,
I show you hidden local information which you have never seen and heard of through books and ordinary site!
You will find unexpected fun through my articles!
Nomiya Shrine
It’s founded 794.
This is a lovely shrine that appears in the 12th century Tale of Genji.
This shrine is said to have a good power to engage a couple and make a safety delivery!
Bamboo Grove Path
The path through the bamboo grove is a short walk from Nomiya Shrine.
It is a very surrealistic atmosphere as you enter the tall bamboo grove.
Tenryuji Temple
Next, we went to Tenryuji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Japanese garden is also very beautiful with a pond in the center.
Kimono Forest
The Arashiyama Electric Railway station is decorated with a Kimono Forest.
Togetsu Bridge
Togetsu Bridge is the symbol of Arashiyama.
Since as far back as the 9th century, aristocrats used this place as a resort to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Lunch
We ate lunch at the traditional restaurant!
Yummy!!
Minami-za Theater
The Minami-za Theater, where kabuki performances are held in Kyoto.
The building is traditional style!
Kimono and tea ceremony experience
We did kimono and Japanese tea ceremony experience!
We took many photos while wearing kimono!
It’s a fun memory!!
Yasaka Pagoda
Yasaka-no-to is a five-story pagoda in Gion, which matches the traditional townscape very well.
Yasaka Shrine
Founded in 656.
It enshrines the hero of Japanese mythology.
The Gion Festival, a-month long Japan’s biggest festival held annually in July is the shrine’s annual festival.
Fushimi Inari Shrine
Founded 711.
5 minutes by train from Kyoto Station.
Famous for its 10,000 red torii gates.
This is the setting for the Hollywood movie Memory of a Geisha.
Kyoto station and bullet train
