Nomiya Shrine

It’s founded 794.
This is a lovely shrine that appears in the 12th century Tale of Genji.
This shrine is said to have a good power to engage a couple and make a safety delivery!
Bamboo Grove Path

The path through the bamboo grove is a short walk from Nomiya Shrine.
It is a very surrealistic atmosphere as you enter the tall bamboo grove.
Tenryuji Temple

Next, we went to Tenryuji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Japanese garden is also very beautiful with a pond in the center.

The Arashiyama Electric Railway station is decorated with a Kimono Forest.
Togetsu Bridge

Togetsu Bridge is the symbol of Arashiyama.
Since as far back as the 9th century, aristocrats used this place as a resort to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

It enshrines the hero of Japanese mythology.
