Weather, Cherry blossoms,Clothing, Food, Festivals, and Events!
Weather
Average Temperature: 8–14°C (Daytime is mild, but mornings and evenings can be chilly.)
Weather Conditions: Mostly sunny, with occasional rain or cloudy days.
Cherry Blossoms
Start blooming in 20-25 March, full bloom will be the end of March to early April.
The most of the Pacific Ocean side cities like Tokyo , Kyoto , Osaka, Himeji , Hiroshima bloom at the same period.
Because the most popular cherry blossom trees are all clones genetically.
They are all grafted trees, no seed.
Clothing
Daytime: Light jackets, trench coats, or sweaters
Morning & Evening: A thicker coat or down jacket is recommended
Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers for sightseeing
Foods
Sakura-themed sweets (Sakura mochi, sakura latte, sakura-flavored treats)
Spring vegetable tempura (Tara-no-me, fukinotō, etc.)
Nanohana (canola blossoms) ohitashi (lightly boiled greens)
Fresh seasonal seafood (Shirasu, bonito, etc.)

A national holiday; many Japanese visit family cemetery.

A world-famous marathon event
AnimeJapan (22,23rd March):
One of the biggest anime conventions, held at Tokyo Big Sight.
March is a great time to enjoy the arrival of spring, with cherry blossoms and seasonal delicacies.
