‘SENBON TORII( 1000 Torii gates) in the evening’
FUSHIMI INARI shrine is one of the most popular tourist spots in Kyoto.
The shrine area is located in the INARI mountain the south of Kyoto ,the whole walk way is 4 km long.
So it takes 2 hours to walk the whole shrine route.
There are over 10000 TORII gates which are donated by the followers by showing the gratitude and prayer.
The SENBON TORII is located in 15 minutes walk from the entrance, literally means 1000 TORII gates.
There are 2 rows of TORII gates, which represent the 2 world of ‘ wisdom’ and ‘compassion’.
Nowadays we have to go right way to walk up because to control the busy tourists.
I went there in the evening, the atmosphere was very mysterious and quiet.
