HAPPOEN is the restaurant and wedding facility with huge Japanese garden 15 minutes walk from JR MEGURO station.
It was a SAURAI residence during the feudal age, took over by a rich businessman in the 19th century, converted as a restaurant and wedding facility.
It has a huge Japanese garden with a pond, tea houses, waterfall,streams, Bonsai areas, and traditional rest areas.
I came across the 525years old Bonsais here !
There are 525 years old SHIMPAKU, OZO pine tree, 325 years old EZO pine tree.
