I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 25 countries. I’ve got the license of the certificate English guide in Japan for 8 years.
I show you hidden Japan which you have never seen and heard of!
Chidorigafuchi moat
I went to Chidorigafuchi.
Chidorigafuchi is the part of the imperial moat the north west of the imperial palace .
Cherry blossom flowing
Since the cherry blossoms flowing were declared on 20th March in Tokyo, I went to the famous Chidorigafuchi to see how the cherry blossoms were going.
This is a famous place with many cherry trees along the moat and the beautiful moat view.
There are many places in Tokyo that are famous for cherry blossoms.
Ueno Park, Yoyogi Park, Meguro River, etc.
Boat on the moat
However, Chidorigafuchi is the only place where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms from the boat.
Illumination
The moat is also illuminated at night, giving it a different look.
Right now, the cherry blossoms were hardly in bloom, with only a couple of trees beginning to flower.
Information
However, tourist information was already set up at the entrance of Chidorigafuchi.
They were handing out free booklets with information on cherry blossoms not only in Chidorigafuchi, but also in the entire Chiyoda area in the center of Tokyo.
The boat ramp was also open, and although the temperature was still cool, quite a few people were enjoying the ride on low boats and pedal boats.
Ticket vending machine
They cost 800 yen( 8 dollars) for 30 minutes.
The reception desk is open from 9-17, and boats can be boarded until 17:30.
It will be very beautiful when the cherry blossoms start blooming.
If you come to Japan next year, why don’t you come to Chidorigafuchi?
The nearest station is Kudanshita Subway Station 3 minutes walk .
From there, you can walk counterclockwise around the Imperial Palace enjoying beautiful tremendous cherry blossoms and the moat!
You will have lots of photo opportunities!
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
