How to enjoy rainy day in Tokyo, Marunouchi town
I’m Nobu, I like traveling overseas and in Japan, visited 25 countries. I’ve got the license of the certificate English guide in Japan for 8 years.
I show you hidden Japan which you have never seen and heard of!
Marunouchi
I went to Marunouchi.
It was raining today , so I was looking for a place with a nice view where I wouldn’t get wet.
There are several buildings in the Marunouchi area that overlook Tokyo Station.
So I went to the Marunouchi Building and the Shin-Marunouchi Building the Imperial palace side of Tokyo station.
Marunouchi is the area north of Tokyo Station up to the Imperial Palace.
Together with Otemachi to the north and Yurakucho (Hibiya) to the south, it has developed into one of Japan’s most prominent office and skyscraper districts.
Head quarters of Japan
And this area has been functioned as Tokyo’s central business district (CBD).
It is one of the financial and economic centers of Japan, lined with the head offices of major banks (megabanks) and the headquarters buildings of major corporations.
Marunouchi building and Shin-Marunouchi building
It used to be just an office area, but after the Marunouchi Building and Shin-Marunouchi Building were rebuilt in 2002 and 2007, it became a place where families and friends go to enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and stores for joy.
Both the Marunouchi Building and the Shin-Marunouchi Building have cafes and restaurants on the upper floors overlooking Tokyo Station.
I saw free concert was held on the first floor of the Marunouchi Building.
Also Toyota Supra made of LEGO was also on display, and many people were taking pictures.
As for the scenary , I recommend the 7th floor of the Shin-Marunouchi Building.
The 7th floor of the Shin-Marunouchi Building has verandas around the building.
And on the side of Tokyo Station, you can see the entire view of Tokyo Station right in front of you.
Also you can see from Tokyo Station to the Imperial Palace through Miyuki-dori Avenue.
Basically, only items purchased at the restaurant on the 7th floor can be brought veranda.
Tokyo Station was built in 1914, so you can enjoy the architectural style of the time.
Enjoy the contrast between the early 20th century Tokyo Station and the 21st century Marunouchi Building and Shin-Marunouchi Building here.
I’m Nobu, one heart enjoy together!!!
