Temperature
Average 15-22℃(59-72℉).
it’s getting cooler and less humid.
The autumn leaves start turning colors in late October.
Clothes
The first half has still hot days but you need one more clothe in the morning and evening.
For the second half, sometimes you need thick jaket.
Big autumn festival season all over Japan
October is the harvest season in Japan.
That is why there are countless festivals all over Japan!
I highly recommend to see them!
You ask hotel concierge near festivals.
Many festivals continue from ancient time, also many are newly built festivals.
Every festival are with food stalls!
You can enjoy Japanese tradition and dietary at the same time!
Halloween
The Halloween is very big in Japan but most of the event were canceled during 3 years due to Covid-19.
I think most of the big events will be held as ordinary way this year.
I think the biggest witness time is 29,29,31 October.
If you are in Japan, don’t miss them and join!
( PS: Shibuya ward mayor asked not to visit Shibuya crossing just see Halloween reason, because it’s super crowded and same participants manner is bad. Please note it.)
Fruits picking
October is the time when you can enjoy picking the grapes, pears, beaches and apples!
If you like fruits picking, search ‘ fruits picking ‘ at your destination.
There are a lot in surrounding prefectures of Tokyo.
Kokia and Cosmos
You can enjoy red Kokia and Cosmos in October ( Kokia from middle to late October).
