I think the best picnic place in Tokyo is here , MEIJI SHRINE backyard.
It’s next to HARAJUKU, the busy young fashion area, completely opposite atmosphere! You enjoy both !!
The main hall area is always very busy by followers and tourists. But if you go to the backyard , there is a huge grass area and open landscape!
It’s very quiet here, only Tokyo local people come and relax here.
