I went to Jigokudani in Noboribetsu Onsen in Hokkaido.

Noboribetsu Onsen is number one in Hokkaido and always ranks in the top ten Onsen nationally.

Noboribetsu Onsen’s Jigokudani (Hell Valley) is home to nine different types of various springs, and is a origin of unique feature of Noboribetsu Onsen.

Even now, the noisy steam gushing out from the springs looks just like hell.

The Jigokudani has a wooden boardwalk, which can be explored easily in 15 to 20 minutes.

At the entrance of Noboribetsu Onsen, there is a geyser in the park surrounded by a cute devil statue and a devil’s pole where you can see the boiling water coming out every 50 minutes with a violent steam and noise.
